One thing you can be sure we know about in Central Pa is food! We LOVE food! So naturally, we want our clients and guests to have the most amazing dining experience at our wedding venue. We have amazing catering partners at North Spring Ballroom, but we can also put together a truly underutilized option for a wedding – A Graze! Why is it underutilized? We suspect it’s because we get so wrapped up in tradition when it comes to weddings that we think strictly inside the box when it comes to the meal. We’ve put together a few reasons why we think you should consider this modern wedding food trend for your big day at our venue in Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
What specifically is a grazing table, or a Graze, as we like to call it? A Graze is simply this - a unique, customizable, beautifully designed buffet where we offer a variety of small plate items that guests can pick and choose from for their wedding reception or event. Adding some heavy hors d’oeuvres to a Graze can really elevate it and make it more filling and satisfying.
There are a couple different aesthetic options for a Graze. A flat Graze is typically arranged across an entire table or island and all the food is strategically placed either intermittently or by item and close together within the space. For an elevated Graze, food is served on individual dishes or raised platters with varying heights to give it an elegant and more buffet-like appearance.
When it comes to a Graze, the options are endless! And the best part about it is that your guests can truly choose which parts of the Graze they want and still feel like they’ve had an amazing, filling meal that’s elegant, fun, and unique. Additionally, the majority of items typically found on a Graze are healthy, fresh, and allergy friendly. We really love that a Graze is totally customizable too. Hosting a brunch event? Let’s add some pastries, yogurt parfaits, and a waffle station! You lead the way, and we’ll make it beautiful, memorable, and exactly what you want!
A Graze also adds a social element to your wedding or event. Instead of guests filtering through a buffet line, picture several stations where guests can stroll around and find delicious food, while chatting and mingling with other guests. Each Graze station can be elegantly adorned with your event theme or floral designs. We’d love for you to add your own personal touches if you’d like!
Let’s talk budget – a Graze can be simple and elegant, or elaborate and grand. A Graze menu can also be customized for a kid-friendly party or celebration. It’s a wonderfully versatile choice for any event.
